Final Disney Day: Animal Kingdom!

After a late late night, we got up early and got to Animal Kingdom bright and early since I booked the safari ride!!(I actually had to set an alarm.....)
Getting up early and rushing around paid off because all of the animals were active!!
It was a HOT one,  but we got to see all sorts of animals! 
The giraffes were wide awake and active which amazed us all I think! The hippo was swimming around,  enjoying the morning! So fun! 
The Rhino mom and baby were also running around, which made the vehicles stop because of their lack of being able to see far away! 

In Africa,  we got to see an amazing show!! The guys even fist bumped the kids twice!  It's great that this park helps educate us about the animals,  but also on the cultures of these beautiful counties!  They loved seeing this show! 
We got to see the Lion King show which was equally amazing and the cast was so full of talent! 
We went on some pretty terrifying rides, I'll spare the details (and the picture from one of the rides)  but overall we had fun! 

We went back to the condo as per usual  to cool down and relax...

 but then some crazy storms rolled in and we couldn't go back so we made the best of it and improvised!  We made Mickey pancakes and watched The Little Mermaid! 

Not a bad way to end the night!!!
Tomorrow we have some really important things to do,  including getting ice cream at this place we drive by nearly everyday,  and who knows what else!

Next stop: Myrtle Beach!

We left early this morning to get a start on the road to head to our next destination!  Myrtle Beach bound!! We made it through Georgia painlessly!!!  the kids were excited to use their tablets again, so they could play  mine craft and listen to Disney music! They look cramped but they have tons of room (they have a bag of toys and crafts in between them! ) I used Google lens because we kept seeing these fields of leaves and I guess they were beet farms!! I did search for Dwight Shrute!! 🤣🤣 Of course we had to check out the pool, but only was it heated .. but it has an entrance to get outside from the indoor part, the kids thought it was the coolest thing ever (I did too!)  and finally,  this is the view from our condo!!! we will all sleep well tonight!!! Beach-ish day!

We went to the beach day this morning but we knew there were some storms coming in, so we wanted to get some time on before then!  we got some killer boogie boards time in! The waves were so good to us and the water was warm!! When the clouds rolled in and we started to see lightning,  we left fairly quick (we didn't realize it was the remnants of a tropical storm).  We got some lunch,  found a gift shop and then got stuck in torrential downpours!  Yes, the entry of the gift shop is a brisk walk into the mouth of a shark! After the storm,  we took a walk on the beach to see if the storm dragged anything onto the beach!  Emily found a sharks tooth! Jeffrey found some really unique shells! Including the remnants of a conch shell!! How cool!  Finally,  we stayed awake long enough to walk on to the beach to enjoy fireworks!  I'm pretty sure everyone in SC wer...

Traffic, Traffic, and the sunset!

New York never ceases to disappoint!! It feels like I blink and the traffic picks up.  So next time,  I will tape my eye lids so they stay open!  Good thing I have this game!! It pretty much matches what we see outside!  How do we become the little red car?  We stopped at BJ's in Maple Shade NJ for gas!  After ALL that traffic, one child experienced car sickness (not in the car), leaving a water cup behind,  and a quick dinner... we were blessed with this sunset in Delaware!!  We are about ready to call it a night,  staying in Baltimore! Looking forward to an early start in the morning!
