The Carolinas , Georgia and Florida!!

It was beginning to feel like we weren't going to ever make it to Florida with all the traffic we encountered. At least today was uneventful for the most part,.

 We found a really unique truck stop  which reassembled a combination of a Tractor Supply and Ocean state job lot
I mean in one direction, you could buy tail pipes for your rig...and then you could buy "grass flip flops", which give you the real- life effect that you're actually standing on a soft bed of green grass.
 However,  we had some good laughs, because when you see a statue of Jack Sparrow... why not pose? 
And a skull motor cyclist?  WHY not!  
Now the kids could see what it would be like standing up against a big rig, they even had a pink one!!

When all was said and done,  the kids got a snack and we managed not to buy some truck stop doo-dad, yay parenting win!!

We saw a few things that made us giggle along the way. 
We're finally in Florida!! Tonight we sleep, and tomorrow we will (hopefully) drive onto Daytona Beach for some much needed relaxation while we wait to check- in to our hotel! 
A beautiful Georgia sunset to enjoy!

Aarrrggh!!!

When I was young we used to do the arm thingies (lol) and the semi-truckers would blow thier big truck horn. That's was fun. Road trips are cool.

Hershey Park!!

First thing we checked off the list this morning was pool time!!! We were the only ones in the pool so that made for a relaxing morning!  We went to Hershey Park! They used to open early, but they don't open until 11 now!  Geez! They're so tall now!! It's the polar opposite from Disney, it's not chaotic to get into the entry gates!  (And bonus,  it smells like chocolate). Character meet and greets are back! Woohoo! Emily wanted to go on a new roller coaster,  I can deal with most roller coasters, but this one had me closing my eyes a bit! (Emily has no fear whatsoever)  With these theme parks,  we've asked the kids to tell us what they want for lunch so we don't waste a bunch of money getting food they won't eat.  I present to you, lunch in the shape of an oversized donut!!
