Disney Day 2!

We are definitely not "rope drop" people!  So we mosey to the park whenever the kids are ready to go but we got to Epcot today and did our thing.
Not to toot my own horn,  but I happen to know that making friends (aka being "me") can go a long way, and so when we were using the preferred parking at Epcot, I had a nice chat with him and then he asked if we're at a Disney resort (which we are not)  , but I said "we can pretend to be! " and he have us a discounted rate!  So that was cool!

We went through all the rides we wanted to go on and we (as parents) are having better luck getting the kids to eat when we ask what they want,  and by default it's usually not what we would normally feed them ... so when in Disney right? I present.... your lunch (see what I did there? )
As for the second coolest kindness act of the day. The kids have expressed over and over that the only ride they wanted to go on was the Ratatouille ride (it opened after we went last year of course)  and I couldn't get it to show up on my app so I stopped by and had a nice chat with a cast member, asking him about his day and then asked about my app and he told me it's the most popular ride and so by default the kids were devastated.
But this man was our hero and expressed that since we were so nice to him and happy,  he would Grant us a wish!  So,  we got to go on!  Amazing! We will take the wins because it kind of makes up for us being stuck at the top of spaceship earth for like 10 minutes in the dark. ..🤣

That made the kids day for sure!

The Frozen ride was down but Emily made a friend with a 6 year old from Connecticut whose name was also Emily! They were BFF's and traded hugs after  like 10 minutes of play following the mission space ride! Jeffrey made friends too but they all hid in the dark play scape.

The fireworks display here is unreal!! Amazing display and you can tell how much work goes into this!

And another night looking like this at the end:
Tomorrow is a rest day,  but we're on the hunt for souvenirs! The kids are fast asleep and will be ready for a new day!

Xoxo
