Disney Day 3! back at Magic Kingdom!

Image
We are crazy enough to go back to Magic Kingdom!!! We first worked on using our picture pass and see the came photographer that we saw at MK day 1 and Epcot! She said she'd never seen the fame family over multiple days so she was ecstatic! This also meant she did some really fun photos with the kids!  (I will upload those pictures soon). We had lunch reservations at "Be Our Guest", and when you walk in, you see these glowing cups and immediately the kids want one  (I can hear Disney going "cha-ching" as we walk through). We won't talk about the cost of this place, but the kids won't be going to a state university now (kidding). On your left. The above mentioned glowing slushy.  The Mickey waffle was a hit!! We made wishes in Cinderella's wishing well! (They probably wished for some sort of sugary treat and to never stay up past bedtime again! ) We rode all the rides and enjoyed some of our favorites aga...

"Rest Day"

Image
Today we had a Disney park rest day! We don't actually know how to rest so we took the time to explore!  We played mini golf, seemed like a good idea at the time but OMG when it's 90 degrees in Florida,  it was probably not the best!! The kids had a great time though!! we had lunch and then headed to Disney Springs!! Once again,  super hot but it's kind of like going to Vegas you get to go in and out of buildings and you're in AC! We found a store called "Lefty's"!!! Jeffrey and I had to celebrate our uniqueness !!  We also enjoyed a cupcake from a place called "sprinkles"!!  It was good but super filling and probably a weird dessert treat on a glorious 90 degree day in Florida!!! And finally,  hours spent in the pool!! When I say hours, I mean fingers shriveled hours!! They usually take their sweet time with dinner but ate so fast so they could jump back into the pool! Mom a...

Disney Day 2!

Image
We are definitely not "rope drop" people!  So we mosey to the park whenever the kids are ready to go but we got to Epcot today and did our thing. Not to toot my own horn,  but I happen to know that making friends (aka being "me") can go a long way, and so when we were using the preferred parking at Epcot, I had a nice chat with him and then he asked if we're at a Disney resort (which we are not)  , but I said "we can pretend to be! " and he have us a discounted rate!  So that was cool!  We went through all the rides we wanted to go on and we (as parents) are having better luck getting the kids to eat when we ask what they want,  and by default it's usually not what we would normally feed them ... so when in Disney right? I present.... your lunch (see what I did there? ) As for the second coolest kindness act of the day. The kids have expressed over and over that the only ride they wanted to go on was ...

Magic Kingdom!!

Image
We made it to Magic Kingdom!! What a great day!  Added bonus, it didn't rain (I think so long as we bring the ponchos it won't rain... so guess what we'll do tomorrow!   It was a full, hot, but awesome day.  I will say, I'm thankful we got the lightning lane!! Hardly any wait for rides and when you check-in, you can register for your next ride (if you're not in the cave of some ride without service). Went on some cool rides in Tomorrowland!! AND...Buzz light year!  After seeing the new light year movie, they are pumped to see Buzz live in action!!! The castle is jazzed up for the 50th anniversary!  Which, brings back a memory... I came here with my grandparents at the 50th anniversary so its kind of cool to be here for both anniversary celebrations...also gives me a reminder of my age! Haha. We meet Elena and Cinderella!  Jeffrey asked Cinderella what she had for breakfast!! ...

Daytona Beach & Our Condo

Image
We made it to Florida late last night,  enjoyed a hot breakfast courtesy of our wonderful hotel staff!  (Eternally grateful for them! )  We found another BJ's gas station and the pump LEAKED everywhere, OMG poor Jeff had gas on his hand.. watch.. ugh it was not good. But that was probably the only negative about the day!  We got to drive onto Daytona Beach,  and let me tell you,  GORGEOUS is an understatement!! You can literally pay $20 and drive on the beach (I think you have to have 4 wheel drive and we saw a couple of kids shoveling out their car... New Englanders everywhere can relate). The kids got to see the Daytona International speedway!! The lifeguards were making rescues left and right with the strong rip currents, but these two swam around like the epic little fishies they are!  Look at those waves!  And the water is so warm!! Kids are happy and there really are no complaints!  We mad...

The Carolinas , Georgia and Florida!!

Image
It was beginning to feel like we weren't going to ever make it to Florida with all the traffic we encountered. At least today was uneventful for the most part,.  We found a really unique truck stop  which reassembled a combination of a Tractor Supply and Ocean state job lot I mean in one direction, you could buy tail pipes for your rig...and then you could buy "grass flip flops", which give you the real- life effect that you're actually standing on a soft bed of green grass.  However,  we had some good laughs, because when you see a statue of Jack Sparrow... why not pose?  And a skull motor cyclist?  WHY not!   Now the kids could see what it would be like standing up against a big rig, they even had a pink one!! When all was said and done,  the kids got a snack and we managed not to buy some truck stop doo-dad, yay parenting win!! We saw a few things that made us giggle along the way.  We'r...

Fueled up and on the road again!

Image
After some much needed rest, we ate a delicious breakfast and got back on the road!   we spotted an Eli Whitney sign and by default had to take a picture!  We're in Virginia,  just near Quantico! And not surprised, we are stuck in traffic!  But we found the missing cup!! Happy Saturday! ❤️

Traffic, Traffic, and the sunset!

Image
New York never ceases to disappoint!! It feels like I blink and the traffic picks up.  So next time,  I will tape my eye lids so they stay open!  Good thing I have this game!! It pretty much matches what we see outside!  How do we become the little red car?  We stopped at BJ's in Maple Shade NJ for gas!  After ALL that traffic, one child experienced car sickness (not in the car), leaving a water cup behind,  and a quick dinner... we were blessed with this sunset in Delaware!!  We are about ready to call it a night,  staying in Baltimore! Looking forward to an early start in the morning!
